Fire tanks, pumps, and the backup supply from the pier.

Storage and backup routes

Tanks 5 and 6 sit near the pump shed, separate from the four cabin tanks, and normally fill with fresh water by gravity. Seawater from the pier is the backup.

Normal fire storage and two seawater backup optionsFresh water normally fills fire tanks 5 and 6 by gravity. The tanks supply the shed pump, which feeds the fire distribution. As a backup, a pump at the pier sends seawater uphill to a blue three-way selector. From there, option 1 tops up the fire tanks while they are being drawn down, and option 2 feeds the shed pump directly. The selector settings and hookups have not been demonstrated.
